UNITBV students participate in Worldskills 2024 International Competition

The team of Transilvania University of Brașov will represent Romania at the Mechatronics section of Worldskills 2024 International Competition. Having reached its 47th edition, the event will take place in Lyon, France, from 10 to 15 September 2024 (https://worldskills2024.com/en/). More than 1,400 competitors evaluated by over 1,300 experts from at least 70 countries will have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to prove that they are the world’s best at one of the 57 crafts in which they have been preparing for at least 2 years.

The actual competition between the 36 participating countries will take place over 4 days and includes:
- mechanical, electrical, pneumatic assembling of FESTO automated stations;
- commissioning and testing;
- developing specific applications for the equipment that controls the stations;
- maintenance (identifying flaws and solving them);
- optimization.

Last year, at Euroskills 2023 Gdańsk Competition, the students in mechatronics of Brașov obtained the Medals of Excellence in a challenge with 17 other countries.
