Piano recital - Valentin M. Bogdan and Julia Mortyakova (USA)

The Music Centre of Transilvania University of Brașov invites the music-loving audience to a piano recital offered by two exceptional pianists, Valentin M. Bogdan and Julia Mortyakova (USA). The event promises an evening of outstanding classical music, as its repertoire includes masterful music pieces created by the composers Georg Friedrich Händel, Franz Liszt, Cécile Chaminade, Teresa Carreño, as well as contemporary music pieces signed by the pianist Valentin M. Bogdan himself.
Valentin M. Bogdan, originally from Brașov and settled in the United States, is an international award-winning pianist and composer, known for his concerts performed on famous stages around the world and for his collaborations with prestigious orchestras. He is a professor at Mississippi University for Women, where he teaches piano and composition.
Julia Mortyakova, designated as an Honoured Artist by the State of Mississippi, has performed on famous stages such as Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and Prokofiev Museum of Moscow. She is the Director of the Music Department within Mississippi University for Women and the founder of Music by Women Festival. The two have won numerous awards together, including second place in Ellis Duo Piano Competition.
