As every year, this time as well, the Researchers’ Night event will take place at the Research and Development Institute within Transilvania University of Brașov, on the last Friday of September, more precisely on 29 September, between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
The event aims to bring science and technology closer to students and to explain the results of scientific research and their usefulness for everyday life in a way that everyone can understand.
As we have already accustomed you, dozens of stands both of the R&D Institute and of the partners will be prepared for numerous experiments, demos and interactive games. During the event, topics in fields such as computer science, robotics, electronics, chemistry, neuromarketing, biology, mathematics, arts, psychology or communication will be addressed.
Visitors of all ages will get to know trained robots and to make hands-on experiments with equipment and technologies in the fields of medicine, mechanics or materials science. Moreover, they can participate in 3D printing demos, Arduino or artificial intelligence workshops, or they can learn how to identify media manipulation tools. Last but not least, in the courtyard of the institute, the visitors can witness demos with racing cars made by UNITBV students.
This year we have dedicated a special area to the five high schools participating in the event, namely “Dr. Ioan Meșotă” National College, “Andrei Șaguna” National College, “Grigore Moisil” National College of Computer Science, “Mircea Cristea” Technical College and “Andrei Mureșanu” High School.
At the same time, the event participants will have the opportunity to see up close the intervention technique of the firemen, of the gendarmes, or to test the equipment of the forensics.
