Opening of UNITBV 2021-2022 Concert Season
4 October 2021, online
The Music Centre of Transilvania University of Brașov marks the opening of the eighth Concert Season, 2021-2022, with an outstandingly great event. The proposed repertoire presents a selection of songs born in the interwar period, made famous by Louis Armstrong, Miles Davis, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, but it also reminds of the chronicler Gheorghe Ionescu (Gion) or the beloved Jean Moscopol, the eternal lover of interwar Bucharest. Music tracks such as “It’s a sin to tell a lie”, “Four”, “What a little moonlight can do”, or “Stars fell on Alabama” will be on the same line with “Inima-i un telefon” [Heart is a Phone]. The surprise of the concert is an interwar song in a little spoken language, Sinti. The concert will evoke the context in which the interwar society gathers for conjuncture meetings, a historical stereotype that we invite you to celebrate together. Luiza Zan - vocals, Gáspár Csaba - violin, vocals, Gáspár Àlmos - guitar, Vitalyos Lehel – double bass.
The concert can be watched on the web page of Transilvania University of Brașov, or on the Facebook page of the Music Centre, on 4 October 2021, starting with 6:00 p.m.
