Romania needs blood! Every two seconds, someone needs a blood transfusion, which can only be obtained by the grace of us and of those around us. The most important benefit to society when donating blood is that your blood can save three lives!

“Donate blood, be a hero!" turns, at national level, 20 years; and, at local level, 11 years of activity! To celebrate, we invite you to the Blood Transfusion Centre Brașov, 21 Doctor Victor Babeș Str., from Monday to Friday, between 07:30 and 13:30. We look forward to seeing you!

 

The main criteria you must meet in order to donate blood:

- age: 18-60 years;

- weight: women - between 55 and 100 kg; men - between 60 and 110 kg;

- pulse: 60-100 beats per minute;

- not to suffer from chronic diseases (diabetes, cancer, liver cirrhosis, autoimmune diseases, other infectious diseases, etc.);

- not to have severe allergies (seasonal, minor allergies are not an exclusion criterion);

- not to have undergone major surgeries in the last 6 months, minor surgeries in the last 3 months, or minor dental interventions in the last 7 days;

not to be under any medical treatment (contraceptives and dietary supplements, such as vitamins and minerals - vitamin C and zinc - are accepted);

- not to have been tattooed and not to have had a piercing in the last 6 months;

- not to be in the menstrual period (or a few days before or after);

-not to drink alcohol 48 hours before donation..
