Admission 2024
Apply until 17 or 19 July, depending on the faculty
For the July 2024 session of the admission, Transilvania University of Brașov puts up for competition almost 11,000 places, in bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes.
For the bachelor’s degree programmes, 3,000 state-budgeted places will be available, that is, 140 more than last year, and another 3,000 self-financed places, to which approximately 1,400 places in distance-learning or part-time study programmes have been added.
For the master’s degree programmes, over 1,300 state-budgeted places and almost 1,800 self-financed places will be put up for competition.
This year as well, the national school contest winning candidates will be admitted without a competition. The list of awards at national school contests required for an open admission to the UNITBV faculties is available HERE.
At the same time, the high-school graduates who were valedictorians and who obtained an average grade of 10 in the baccalaureate exam, as well as the members of the Romanian Olympic teams who participated in international competitions will receive a laptop from Transilvania University and, if needed, accommodation and a free meal in the university's canteens throughout the academic year (except for the holidays).
As in previous years, this time as well, Transilvania University of Brașov offers special places for the candidates with disabilities, the ones of Roma ethnicity, the ones from rural high schools, and the Romanians everywhere.
The candidates will apply to Transilvania University of Brașov online (on admitere.unitbv.ro), via the dedicated registration application, where the candidates need to fill in their personal details and upload the required documents. The registration application will be open until 17 July, 8:00 p.m., for the faculties where competition tests are organized; and until 19 July, 1:00 p.m., for the faculties that don't require competition tests. The first results will be displayed on the websites of the faculties on 22 July.
For most faculties, the admission is based on the grades in the baccalaureate examination. The only exceptions are four faculties that require written and/or practical tests. Thus, for the Faculty of Medicine, in all study programmes, as well as in the study programme “Kinetic Therapy and Special Motricity” within the Faculty of Physical Education and Mountain Sports, the admission will also consist of a written exam (grid test), while for the Faculties of Music, Physical Education and Mountain Sports, and Psychology and Education Sciences, the admission will consist of practical and skills tests.
The registration fees remain unchanged this year as well: 200 RON for all faculties (the exception is the Faculty of Medicine, the study programme “Medicine” where it amounts to 250 RON). The tuition fees range between 3,700 and 7,400 RON per year.
