UNITBV, in the top of Romanian universities

In the most recent ranking achieved by the Ministry of Education, Transilvania University of Brașov holds on to 6th position in the top of Romanian universities. The 2023 ranking includes only 30 (28 public, two private) universities out of the 89 (52 public, 37 private) that exist in Romania. The 2023 top of the best-performing 10 Romanian universities is similar to the 2022 top, being occupied by comprehensive, technical and medical universities.

The National Metaranking is an evaluation and ranking mechanism for the Romanian universities, based on the analysis of international university rankings which are recognised worldwide by the International Ranking Expert Group, Inventory of International Rankings (IREG).
The Metaranking is an accurate and unbiased tool of analysis, which promotes the equitable allocation of the academic research funding, based on proven performance and on the identification of needs, in order to achieve and sustain excellence in education and research.
