The 2024 National Competition of Data Analysis
31 May 2024, UNITBV’s Research and Development Institute
Against the backdrop of the global need for economic data analysis, CNSEAD-2024 aims to promote data analysis among the students at faculties of economics all over Romania. All students at the faculties of economics, in bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral study programmes, as well as high-school pupils are invited to the event. The competition aims to raise the young economists’ awareness about the analysis of the data that can be used in the decision-making process, as well as to socially liaise the students at different faculties of economics.
The event will consist of two sections: the former, where the students and pupils are invited to present a personal analysis of real data; and the latter, an information one, where relevant companies in the field are invited to present innovative software solutions.
The participants’ final ranking will be obtained by averaging the scores awarded by a jury made up of specialized academic teaching personnel both from Transilvania University of Brașov and from other universities, and of partners in the economic environment.
The analyses can be made by students in any software (SAS, Tableau Public, Power BI, Excel, and more), and they can be presented both as a dashboard created in a specialized software and as a presentation in Power Point.
Since some analyses involve a high workload, student teams are accepted as well.
For the students who come from other universities, we can provide accommodation in our dorms.
