UNITBV scales greater heights in QS World University Ranking

Transilvania University of Brașov scales greater heights in QS World University Ranking for the year 2024 as well. Mentioned for the first time in the top two years ago, Transilvania University of Brașov maintains its position in the ranking, within the range 1201-1400. Alongside UNITBV, another 12 Romanian universities appear in the top, most of them situated within the same range.
The indicators taken into account in establishing the top were: academic reputation, reputation among employers, student/faculty ratio, the number of citations for the scientific articles, the ability to attract foreign students, the number of academic teaching personnel from abroad. As a novelty this year, three new indicators were added: sustainability, the degree of employment after completing the studies and the degree of involvement in international research networks.
To create this ranking, more than 17 million teaching materials were analysed, and the opinions of more than 240,000 experts from the academic environment and employers were taken into account. Overall, 1500 universities all over the world were included in QS World University Ranking. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), the University of Cambridge (Great Britain) and the University of Oxford (Great Britain) are ranked first.
