The National Forest Strategy, presented at UNITBV

On Monday, “Sergiu T. Chiriacescu” Conference Centre of Transilvania University of Brașov hosted the presentation of the 2030 National Forest Strategy, developed by the Ministry of the Environment, Water and Forests, by specialists from Transilvania University of Brașov, from Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava, in collaboration with several NGOs and other independent specialists in the field of forestry. For two years, work meetings and debates themed on Romania’s Forest Strategy have been held with a view to outlining a plan for the development and regeneration of Romania’s forests, but also for the sustainable exploitation of the national forest resources.
The National Forest Strategy was drafted in correlation with the European recommendations and norms.
The document was presented at “Sergiu T. Chiriacescu” Aula of Transilvania University, in Brașov, on Monday, by the Minister of the Environment, Barna Tanczos, by the Secretary of State, Sorin Banciu, by the Rector of Transilvania University, Prof. Dr. Eng. Ioan Vasile Abrudan, by Prof. Dr. Eng. Bogdan Popa, from the Faculty of Silviculture and Forest Engineering within UNITBV, and by Prof. Dr. Eng. Liviu Nichiforel, from Ștefan cel Mare University of Suceava.
