Within Transilvania University of Brașov, at the end of registrations for admission to full-time  Bachelor’s degree programmes, in the 2022 summer session, a total of 12,035 candidate files were validated, that is, 11% more than last year, when the largest number of candidates was registered over the last 10 years, and 10,812 files were submitted.

The fiercest competition was by far at the Faculty of Medicine, where 1,965 candidates registered for one of the 355 places, out of which 154 are budgeted, most of them for the study programme of Medicine (1,569).

Over 1,000 files were also submitted to the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration (1,555 files for 625 places, out of which 219 budgeted places), to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (1,174 files for 515 places, out of which 334 budgeted), and to the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science (1,125 files for 275 places, out of which 150 budgeted).

At the opposite extreme, the fewest candidates registered for the Faculties of Furniture Design and Wood Engineering (68 candidates), Materials Science and Engineering (69 candidates) and Music (45 candidates). However, at these faculties, the number of available places is also lower compared to the previously mentioned faculties.

Transilvania University of Brașov conducted the registrations exclusively online. Overall, more than 6,000 places were put up for competition for the undergraduate programmes of the 18 faculties, out of which approximately 2,800 are tuition-free.

At 14 faculties, the admission is file-based; hence, the Baccalaureate grades will be taken into account. At the Faculty of Medicine, for all study programmes, as well as at the Faculty of Physical Education and Mountain Sports, for the study programme Kinetic Therapy and Special Motricity, the admission will also consist of a written exam (grid test); whereas at the Faculties of Music, of Physical Education and Mountain Sports, and of Psychology and Education Sciences, the admission will consist of practical and skills tests.

The results will be displayed on Thursday, 21 July, after which the confirmation of places will be made between 22 and 25 July - 1:00 p.m.
