Transilvania University of Brașov, again in an international ranking

Transilvania University of Brașov was again included in Times Higher Education Rankings, but this time in the “Emerging Economies” section. The university can be found on the 501+ place and is for the first time in these rankings, in this category.
For these rankings, the same 13 performance indicators used in “The World University Rankings” were taken into account to classify the institutions according to teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international perspective.
“Times Higher Education – Emerging Economies” Rankings include only institutions in countries classified by the London Stock Exchange’s FTSE Group as “advanced emerging”, “secondary emerging” or “frontier”.
These rankings include 606 universities from 48 countries all over the world, whose economy was classified as either advanced-, secondary- “emerging” or “frontier”. 13 Romanian universities have been included in these rankings. In the second part of the rankings, on the 251st -300th places, there are the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, Babeș Bolyai University and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Cluj Napoca. On the 501+ places, there are 10 other Romanian universities, mentioned in alphabetical order, among which Transilvania University of Brașov.
Transilvania University of Brașov entered Times Higher Education General Rankings for the first time in September 2020.
