Transilvania University of Brașov, in a new international top
Times Higher Education - World University Rankings - second edition
Transilvania University of Brașov ranks third in the top of Romanian universities in a new international ranking that evaluates higher education institutions according to their impact on society.
The ranking published by Times Higher Education – World University Rankings includes 766 universities from 85 countries. Seven universities in Romania are in this top, the first two positions being occupied by the University of Bucharest and ASE (Academy of Economic Sciences), both situated within the places 201-300.
Transilvania University of Brașov ranks third among the Romanian universities (301-400).
The Impact Rankings 2020 assesses the participating universities according to how they comply with the sustainable development goals set by the UN.
In the second edition of this top, head of the list of higher education institutions is occupied again by the University of Auckland in New Zealand. Three Australian universities are in close positions: University of Sydney, Western Sydney University and La Trobe University. Japan is the most represented nation in this top with 63 institutions, followed by Russia with 47 and Turkey with 37.
